Sunday Snapshot: Barbados Sunset

This photo was taken on one of my first nights on exchange, sitting on Paradise Beach with a group of new friends from around the world, excited about our new beginning on the island. Sitting on this beach watching the sunset with those friends is one of my most cherished memories from my time in Barbados. Plus, we were awarded with sunsets that look more like paintings.

Take a Stroll Through Batts Rock

“The ocean stirs the heart, inspires the
imagination and brings eternal
joy to the soul.”
– Wyland

Just a short stroll away from my dorm is a white, sandy beach with turquoise waters kissing the sand. It’s a popular place for snorkeling and picnics but is never too crowded and it’s quickly becoming my go-to spot to relax after a hard day at work. I don’t believe I can do it justice through my words, so put on your flip-flops and take a walk along the sand for yourself.

“Visual surprise is natural in the Caribbean
it comes with the landscape, and faced
with its beauty, the sigh of History dissolves,”
– Derek Walcott

Sunday Snapshot: Above the Clouds

There’s no feeling like that of an airplane taking off into the setting sun. Today’s sunday snapshot is a photo that I took today on my flight home from a weekend with an old friend. Views like this are just one of the reasons why I love the window seat!

Sunday Snapshot: Trearddur Bay Sunset

trearddur bay sunset

This photo captures one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. Located on the cliffs of Trearddur Bay, I spent one of my evenings there sitting high above the Irish sea, mesmerized by this sunset. Do you remember a sunset that you thought was the most beautiful? Where was it?
