There was a bone chillingly cold day about a week ago. It was so cold out and if it hadn’t looked so gorgeous outside I would have probably stayed inside my house all day drinking endless cups of tea. As it turned out, the sun was shining, the snow was sparkling and the trees were covered in white frost. It looked like a winter wonderland and I couldn’t resist going out and taking a few photos. I don’t usually plan on visiting cemeteries when I travel to new places but I’ve found myself wandering through quite a few over the years. From tiny unnamed cemeteries in the Irish countryside to the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris that holds the likes of Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison, I’ve found myself spending hours walking through random cemeteries, completely intrigued. As sad as a place may be, they are filled with stories and can be so beautiful. This picture of the local cemetery in my hometown reminds me of that.
